Murrurundi Art Prize 2017

Conditions of entry

1. Entry form with fees must be returned to the Secretary by Friday 12 May 2017
Please complete form in black ink. Late entries will not be accepted. 

2. Entry fee of $10.00 per entry. Under 18 - Free. Cheque or money orders payable to Murrurundi District Arts Council Inc. (MDAC) +PO Box 87 Murrurundi NSW 2338.

3. Size: Maximum size not to exceed 1 metre on any side, including frame. Stretched canvas and board (with back support) is deemed framed.  Under 18 Section no frame required

4. All items must be for sale and clearly labelled (with an attached label) on the back with artist’s name and address, title of the work, section, medium and price. NOTE: No alteration of title or price will be accepted. The signed entry form is binding, and catalogue information will only be taken from this form, not the back of the painting. Please name your painting for identification purposes. (not ‘untitled’). 

5. Commission 20%. Payment 30 days. 

6. Each entry must be framed and mounted, and ready for hanging. 
Works must not have been previously shown in any competition in Murrurundi. 

7. All works must be the original work of the artist. No photographs will be accepted. 

8. Artists may submit three entries per section. All accepted entries are eligible for the 
Best in Show Award which is acquisitive. 

9. All catalogued entries will be judged. The Judge’s decision is final. The organisers reserve the right to reject any painting deemed unsuitable for hanging. 

10. The organisers reserve the right to have any entries reproduced in the media.

11. All transport and insurance costs to/from and during the exhibition must be met by the exhibitor. ‘All care will be taken’ but no liability by the Murrurundi District Arts Council Inc will be accepted for loss or damage in transit, or while on exhibit.
All work must be securely packaged. 

12. All work must be executed since May 2015. 

13. Entries to arrive: RSL Hall, Mayne Street, Murrurundi on Monday 22nd May 2017,
between 12 noon and 4pm or by prior arrangement by ringing Rodney on  042 777 5707       
Paintings cannot be removed before 4pm on Monday 12 June 2017.

14. Any unclaimed paintings remaining with the Arts Council after one month become
the property of the Arts Council.

15. Entries will be accepted from artists residing in the following postcodes –
